Lackawanna Terminal Railway's ex-Conrail, ex-Leigh and Hudson River Alco C-420 waits on the spot track at East Buffalo Junction with an autorack cars picked up from CSX for delivery to Mount Morris, NY. Her sister #23, pictured below, basks in the warm summer sun as she awaits assignment after modest repairs to here running gear. The Lackawanna Terminal Railway owns three of these versatile locomotives and has plenty of parts to keep them productive into the foreseeable future.

Engine 2072 switches the bulk transfer yard in East Buffalo. This facility, a recent addition built within the East Buffalo yard complex, has generated a lot of traffic for the Lackawanna Terminal Railway and it is switched on an as needed basis but usually two to three times every 24 hours. Being within the East Buffalo yard complex means that crews drilling the East Buffalo yard are responsible for drilling this and all other customers within the complex. Sometimes the workload requires an extra crew to be called out to handle the industrial switching while the regular crew blocks cars for National Chemical and Refining Corporation and the local crews that work out of East Buffalo.
