Train originates on the Southern Pacific in Los Angeles enroute to Croxton yard. Sets out and picks up at Mount Morris Inter-modal yard.

This train sets out and picks up cars as appropriate at East Buffalo. Crew change in Binghamton then runs through to Croxton. Sets out and picks up east of Binghamton as required.

The Steel Train

 

 

Buffalo

The NS transfers this train, which originated in Indiana on the Norfolk Southern, to the LT in East Buffalo. The Steel Train picks up cars appropriate for Stradivarius Steel in East Buffalo, runs to Stradivarius Steel and exchanges inbounds for outbounds. Terminates in Binghamton.

The Road Local sets out and picks up as appropriate in East Buffalo then services customers as far as Binghamton.

NC and R Drill

Buffalo

This drill signs up in East Buffalo and switches the industries in East Buffalo as necessary and the NC&R complex in Depew. Outbound loads and empties are returned to East Buffalo as required.

Mount Morris Switcher

 

Mount Morris

Works under the direction of the Mount Morris Intermodal Yard Director. Crew switches the intermodal yard and autorack unloading facility at Mount Morris as directed. Facilitates the switching of cars with inbound intermodal and multi-level trains at Mount Morris.

Road Local

Binghamton

Serves customers between Binghamton and Buffalo with whatever cars are in the train appropriate for the customers. Pick up outbounds from these customers.

Autrorack Train

This train (which originated at Portside in Newark, NJ) departs when the eastbound Stack train arrives in Binghamton. Stops at Mount Morris to exchange empty autoracks for inbound loads for Kaplonski’s Automall. Continues to Buffalo, NY. For westbound interchange with CSX.

Westbound Merchant’s Express

 

Binghamton

Departs for Buffalo when the eastbound Merchant’s Express has arrived. Stops at East Buffalo yard to set out and pick up before continuing to Buffalo for interchange with Conrail.

UPS/ Intermodal Train

 

 

Binghamton

Originates in Croxton yard, Stops at Mount Morris. Trailers are collected from the North Jersey area and loaded at Croxton. Other cars (intermodal) are added at Croxton, as available, to fill train capacity. Continues to Buffalo for interchange with Norfolk Southern enroute to Chicago.

Crew to deadhead to train

P/U empties from NYPA power plant and spots the loads. Take empties to Buffalo for interchange with CSX. This train originates on CSX in Tennessee and, because CSX wants the line haul, they bring it through South Kearney to Croxton yard in Secaucus.
