Lackawanna Terminal Railway's
Automobile Transportation Pool Cars

(Car painted by Joe Kopin)

The Lackawanna Terminal Railway, as part of its commitment to the pool of automobile and truck transportation rail cars, has purchased 100 auto rack cars for general service to any location nationwide. This car is a bi-level car used for hauling trucks and is coming through the CSX interchange track at East Buffalo Junction. This car will be switched out in the East Buffalo yard and eventually delivered to Mount Morris, New York where there is a small yard for unloading cars and trucks destined for Kaplonski's AutoMall, an off-line customer.

Other customers include the Nissan assembly plant in Mahwah, New Jersey in what was once a Ford assembly plant and a newly built Honda assembly plant in Horseheads, New York.
